The Center for Continuing Professional Development (CCPD) at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians who attend the Semel Grand Rounds series.
The CCPD has adopted the Cloud CME platform which makes it easier for you to record your attendance as well as to generate a transcript of your CME credits whenever you need it.
Registering Your Attendance for Each Talk: After each talk, you will need to take a survey. For in-person attendees, there will be a QR code that will link to the survey. For Zoom webinar attendees, the survey will open automatically after closing the webinar. Once you have completed the survey, an additional screen will appear with instructions for recording your attendance in the Cloud CME platform. There are 2 ways to do this: (1) Signing in via text message, or (2) signing in via QR code. Once you have done that, your attendance has been recorded and no further action is required on your part!
Obtaining Your CME Transcript: Registering your attendance and obtaining a CME transcript both require you to have an account on the Cloud CME platform. Take a moment to review these PowerPoint slides which go over how to sign-in to the Cloud CME platform and how to set up your profile in the Cloud CME platform. Once you have done that, you should be able to generate a CME transcript at any time using the Cloud CME platform.
Physicians: Each live activity has been designated for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Psychologists: The California Board of Psychology recognizes and accepts AMA PRA Category 1 credits as long as the course pertains to the practice of psychology.
Nurses: The California State Board of Registered Nursing accepts courses approved by the AMA for category 1 credit as meeting the continuing education requirements for license renewal.
Social Workers: Semel Grand Rounds, provider #1863, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards ( ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 5/2024-5/2025. Social workers must attend the entire course and complete a course evaluation to earn CE credit. Certificates of completion will be emailed within 10 business days of course completion. Out of State: Psychologists, nurses, and social workers who are licensed in states other than California should inquire with their local State Board for specific continuing education policies.
